THE BEAUTY, BRAINS & BRAWN BEHIND THIS OPERATION
MEET ALAN SHAW
Alan grew up in Southern Indiana on a farm that was located above his family’s limestone quarry. Most of his days were spent exploring caverns, jumping on hay bales and riding his prized ATV in the woods.
Graduating from the Interlochen Arts Academy and called to flashing lights, Alan moved to the Big Apple in 2004 to pursue a career in acting. Finding his feet in musical theatre, Alan owned roles including Huck Finn in Big River, Cain/Japheth in Children of Eden and eventually on Broadway in Les Misérables.
During his time on Broadway, Alan found a passion for health and fitness which led him to pursue the rigorous CrossFit NYC Coaching Mentorship Program. Coming into his own as a CrossFit coach planted a seed for one day founding a gym of his own.
MEET TRINITY WHEELER
Born and raised in Tyler, Texas, Trinity was asked to sing the National Anthem when he was 12 years old at a local rodeo and his passion for performing never stopped. When he was 16, a trip to London’s West End to see Les Misérables introduced him to a new love, musical theatre. Little did he know this iconic show would help him find the love of his life, but we’re jumping ahead...
After performing for a number of years, Trinity became interested in the management and producing aspects of live theatre. He eventually transitioned from onstage to offstage in a variety of capacities including Production Stage Manager, Production Supervisor, Associate Producer and now Executive Producer. His Broadway and National Tour credits include Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Mary Poppins, Dirty Dancing and Finding Neverland.
THE DREAM TEAM
Although a tumultuous tale of class, revolution and the complex human condition, Les Misérables is often thought of as the definitive love story, and that is what it became for Alan and Trinity. Meeting on tour, these beaus were hitched in 2013.
Outside of their acclaimed careers in Broadway, the pair continued cultivating a shared dream to found their own fitness empire. When it came time to choose a place for the foundation – all roads led to Charleston.
Joining the flock to the Holy City, Rhapsody Fitness opened on July 14, 2018 in the heart of historic downtown – setting a new standard of fitness by developing humble, hungry and happy members through prime coaching, top-of-the-line facility and prioritized member care.
A year later, Rhapsody Fitness is Charleston’s fitness destination – and they’re just getting started.

MEET MARY BETH HENDERSON
Co-Host, FEMPRENEUR & Co-Conspirator
Among the original misfits to join this bunch, the dynamic duo picked Mary Beth up following a CrossFit workout and treating her to a cheeseburger – she never stood a chance.
After bonding over barbells and batting their baby blues, this ginger was ready to hand over her first born but settled for helping Team Rhapsody find their voice and connect with the Charleston community. A year later, Mary Beth serves as a mascot of sorts, marketing consultant and confidant.
Hailing from Georgia and coming to the Lowcountry by way of College of Charleston for higher education, Mary Beth is the shepreneur, shebeast and sassafrass behind Front & Center, the branding and marketing Swiss Army Knife supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses across the country.
